Archer Pastry is the alias taken by a minor character from Trolls: The Beat Goes On! whose real name is Kaboom. He is a scout for the Party Crashers and the younger brother of Bash.

Appearance

Archer has green skin, a tail, 4 visible fanged teeth, and a fin on his head that imitates a mohawk. He wears a biker gang outfit, consisting of a green shirt, a purple vest, grey pants, black shoes, belt and wristbands.

Personality

As a Troll, Archer was the ideal friend, pretending to be highly likeable and having no grudges against anyone. He only seemed to give off good vibes.

This was dropped as a person when he was unveiled as a Party Crasher. Archer proves to be manipulative and get under others' skin, and be purposely repulsive and uncooperative at first. If opportunity knocks, he takes his chance either to further his attempts to escape and get his friends or undermine when the Trolls attempt to befriend him.

In the end, he does reveal he is quite sensitive and does actually care about others. It's just because of the teasing he receives from others that he has to be tough in front of them.

Party Crashers

Archer got picked on by the group for being whimpy and constantly crying, particularly by Bash.

Trolls

Archer eventually befriends the Trolls, despite his attempts to resist from resisting to do so, especially Poppy. He would then help them deal with the other Party Crashers. After defeating the Party Crashers, Poppy makes Archer an “Honorary Troll”; and after that episode he is never seen again for an unknown reason, but he is mentioned 3 seasons later by Harper

Party Games

As evidenced by his first appearance in "The Party Games", he is very good at Party Games; in fact, he's better than Guy Diamond. He was seen causing a stack of blocks to form a neat pile balanced by a single block, and split Guy's javelin down the middle in "Pin the tail on the Cooper".

Espionage

Archer was given the title of scout and sent to infiltrate the Trolls, a role he did very well. He became quite loved by the Trolls due to his over-the-top positive attitude, seemingly holding no grudges against anyone. He was able to pretend to be a Troll for some time before they figured him out. It was only a random chance that his disguise stash was unveiled, to which he dropped it to pretend to be Branch. When that failed, Aspen Heitz. Also from being too positive, his portrayal of Branch was good enough to make Poppy calm down about there being an intruder.

Etymology

"Archer Pastry" is an anagram of "Party Crasher" and was the clue in him being the imposter. He was originally going to be introduced as "Dude Ruby" to fit the name of his rival in his introductory episode "Guy Diamond".

His real name of "Kaboom" is a onomatopoeia which mimicks the sound of a large explosion. "Kaplowie" (normally written as "Kaplowy") is the same, except its sound implies a smaller explosion. Essentially, by changing Kaboom's name to Kaplowie, Bash belittled his brother.

He is the second character from a Good Luck Trolls franchise to be named "Kaboom". Kaboom was also the name of a Troll in Trollz who was used by the BFFL to practice magic on.

Trivia

• He tends to not go by his real name because Bash renamed him "Kaplowie". If Bash (being the one in charge) renames someone, then that becomes their name.
• Archer's character is noted as a younger Troll than Guy Diamond, based on Smidge's comment of him "being threatened by a young upstart" when Archer outdid Guy in the Party Games. In reality, Archer was basically a teenager, so this reflected in his first disguise as a Troll.
• As shown in "The Frenemy", he knows the digits of pi up to 3.141592653.
