Barracuda is a song featured in Trolls World Tour, sung by Queen Barb. It's a cover of the song of the same name by the American Rock band Heart. The original song was about Heart calling out those promoting them, as they were starting rumors about them that weren't true about them, such as their sexuality.
About[]
In the movie, it plays when Barb goes on stage during her Rock World Tour Victory Concert. The The Snack Pack are stuck on stage after their failed attempt to rescue Queen Poppy. In the context of the film, the song can be seen as ironically referring to their poor disguises, which allowed them into the Rock World Tour and left them on stage next to Barb, who didn't see the Pop Trolls in front of her eyes either.
In the background of the song, other Rock Trolls can be heard chanting in the early parts, and a faint "Rock on!" scream can be occasionally heard.
Lyrics[]
Chanting begins
So this ain't the end, I saw you again, today
I had to turn my heart away
Smile like the sun, kisses for everyone
And tales, it never fails
You're lying so low in the weeds
Faint scream; Rock On!
I bet you're gonna ambush me
Faint scream; Rock On!
You'd have me down, down, down, down on my knees
Now won't ya? Barracuda, oh
Chanting ends
Back over time we were all tryin' for free
You met the porpoise and me
No right, no wrong, you're sellin' a song, a name
Whisper game
And if the real thing don't do the trick
Faint scream; Rock On!
You better make up something quick
Faint scream; Rock On!
You're gonna burn, burn, burn, burn, burn to the wick
Ooh, barracuda
Oh yeah
"Sell me, sell you" the porpoise said
Dive down deep to save my head
You, I think you got the blues too
All that night and all the next
Swam without looking back
Made for the western pools
Silly, silly fools
If the real thing don't do the trick
Faint scream; Rock On!
You better make up something quick
Faint scream; Rock On!
You're gonna burn, burn, burn, burn, burn to the wick
Oh, barra, barra, barra, barracuda
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
