Biggie is a Troll who first appeared in Trolls, having appeared throughout the franchise ever since. His last name is currently unknown, but it's known that the first two parts of his name, according to 2D animation, are Biggie Hugs.

Biggie is a member of The Snack Pack. While his pet worm Mr. Dinkles is seen in Trolls: Holiday in Harmony, Biggie was only mentioned.

Biggie is a tall, fat-looking blue Troll. He has periwinkle hair that is quite short compared to other Trolls' hair, and a pink nose. He wears a purple waistcoat and shorts. Like the other Trolls, he has four fingers on each hand and four toes on each foot. His overall height makes him not only one of the largest of the Pop Trolls, but also one of the few Trolls comparable to the Funk Trolls, who are the tallest Trolls overall in Troll Kingdom.

Personality

Biggie has a big heart, and is one of Poppy's dearest friends. He is generally shy, timid and easily frightened, being said in some website sources to be a bit of a crybaby. The other Trolls, however, generally don't like seeing Biggie upset. Biggie is honest about things, relying on others at times, but has value in the simple promises people make to others. When upset, Biggie will say why; he demonstrates this by angrily telling to Poppy that she messed up when she breaks her "pinky promise" in Trolls World Tour. He also considers himself "cute", and is upset by the prospect in the Lonesome Flats jail that he is no longer cute.

In the 2D shows, Biggie is generally the kind of Troll who plays it safe and avoids danger or causing trouble; although, when he does join in mischief, he usually enjoys it. He's a Troll known to be keen to help, but is overfriendly and finds it difficult to try new things or disobey social conformities, generally lacking confidence in himself while not being shy. He tends to be attracted to adorable things such as Fauna, which often distract him. He desires to be as good friend, which can lead him to overpressure himself to succeed. He is known to be optimistic and doesn't take failure in himself well.

Relationships

Mr. Dinkles

Mr. Dinkles is Biggie's best friend. Biggie cares about and loves Mr. Dinkles so much, he also makes sure to keep him safe. Biggie carries Mr. Dinkles around everywhere. He would do anything to save him, and loves him with all of his heart. He is almost always shown to carry him; when he doesn't, he yells and searches frantically for his pet worm.

Mr. Blinkles

In the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "The Helper", Biggie mentions that occasionally Mr. Dinkles needs his space. This makes Biggie to play with another worm known as "Mr. Blinkles" for a while. Eventually, Mr. Dinkles returns out of jealously at Mr. Blinkles.

Queen Poppy

Biggie and Poppy are very close friends. When Chef takes Biggie and Poppy's other friends, she is very worried about them, though stays hopeful that she will find them.

Biggie holds Poppy in high regard and has expectations of her. He expects her to keep her word as queen and is only disappointed in her when she fails. Yet no matter how scared he gets, he at least attempts to go and save her, even if it ends in failure and him helplessly only able to watch events unfold.

Guy Diamond

Throughout Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, Guy Diamond is shown to be supportive and encouraging Biggie.

Ripley Wisp

According to Poppy in the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "Friend Matching", Biggie and Ripley are compatible and should be friends. However, because Poppy told the pair that they have chemistry between them, the meeting between them became awkward, and their friendship never took off.

Skills & Abilities

Biggie has most normal Troll abilities and the abilities of his Tribe, but Mr. Dinkles is just a worm.

Biggie's physicality comes into account sometimes when it comes to weight and size matters, due to him being larger and heavier than most Trolls.

Socialization

Biggie is keen to join in with anything that sounds fun, but will be reluctant when it comes to anything dangerous. His desire to not be left out of things can lead him to put uneeded pressure on himself to succeed.

Photography

Biggie's hobby is photography. He commonly takes pictures of Mr. Dinkles and other critters.

Competitions

Biggie joins in with many competitions, but lacks a competitive spirit and mostly does things for fun only. He's happier playing with a teammate, as seen in the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "Musical Thrones", where he teams up with Smidge to dominate the Musical Thrones Tournament.

His ability to handle critters well caught the attention of the Country Trolls Holly Darlin' and Gust Tumbleweed in the Trolls: TrollsTopia episode "Buckin' Branch". Biggie showed to be a naturally talented critter wrangler despite his lack of other skills (which was the opposite situation Branch faced in the rodeo) and was able to handle every critter within the Country Corral rodeo.

Dress Up

As seen in the Trolls Holiday Shorts episode "Dress Up", Biggie likes to play dress up, usually on Mr. Dinkles. Biggie doesn't usually dress up himself, but in the "Dress Up" episode he dresses up as Branch while Mr. Dinkles wore a costume resembling Poppy; they re-acted the introduction of Branch from Trolls, but Biggie tweaked it to make it more obvious of Branch's feelings towards Poppy.

Music

Biggie is a tenor vocalist. As a Pop Troll, he is into Pop music.

In "Big Poppy", he was shown to rap by compliment rapping to Mr. Dinkles in rhyme. He also noted that he enjoyed the rap battle.

Leadership

When Biggie returns to Pop Village in Trolls World Tour after Queen Barb attacked, he takes the position of substitute leader over the remaining members of The Snack Pack, in absence of Poppy and Branch as they go to rescue Poppy.

Intelligence

Biggie has idealistic views and solutions to problems, and is shown throughout 2D animation to come to simple answers to problems, as he demonstrated in the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "The Poppy Horror Picture Show". He tends to overstate his failures, overthinks situations, and often overlooks when he has reached his limits or his own lack of self-confidence, mostly due to his habit of not wanting to disappoint others. A good example of this was in "Truth or Dare", where his failure to carry out the "Dare" led to him almost jumping in lava after the statue. Another example is "Funsgiving", where he hosts a Funsgiving dinner and feels he had failed everyone for losing the Diced Fruit, only to be told that others had taken short cuts in their own hosting of the meals in the past.

Biggie does enjoy honesty and acknolwedges the failures of others. This was exampled in Trolls World Tour, where Poppy breaks her Pinky Promise to keep her friends safe, and Biggie is forced to draw the line to make a point about her failures as a leader. Biggie was the first Troll to point out Poppy's actions were wrong, and the first to call her out.

However, Biggie is mostly a simple Troll and fails to see the bigger picture. In "Gem Day", he accidentally destroys Branch's gem, and doesn't consider that he may have done something wrong.

Etymology

"Biggie" and "Mr. Dinkles" are actually jokes referring to the male genitals. "Biggie" and "dinkle" are slangs that can refer to the size of the male reproductive organ.

His name is usually translated to a meaning of "giant" or "big" in other languages.

According to the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "The Poppy Horror Picture Show", Biggie's middle name is "Hugs", leaving his last name unknown for the time being.

• Biggie speaks with a British accent that has carried into all versions of his character.
• Biggie is noted in website sources to be a bit of a crybaby, crying tears of joy the most of any Troll and being a big softy. Yet the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episodes "Bad News Bergens" and "The Helper" are the only times where he was really shown to cry so far, and in both episodes, he had only shown a small tear, or simply cried to get past a game as seen in "Bunker Break-In".
• In Trolls Holiday, when Biggie pulls off his shorts during the description of "Tear Away Pants Day", his genitals are exposed, but censored by pixelization. Bridget and King Gristle Jr. get offended by Biggie exposing himself, even though there have been a number of naked Trolls throughout the franchise, such as Guy Diamond.
  • This makes Biggie the only character in the franchise to expose his genitals onscreen. Although, this might have been only a gag about his name, as none of the naked Trolls appear to have visible genitalia.
• Biggie and Smidge have contrasting designs and somewhat visual jokes; Biggie is a large Troll with short hair and Smidge is a small Troll with long hair. Their designs are a play on the normal proportions of the Troll design, which stands 6 inches tall with their height being equal length in both body and hair at 3 inches.
  • This also extends to their personalities in the 2D animations. Biggie is quiet, shy, soft-spoken and gentle, with a reluctant outlook to life; while Smidge is loud, aggressive and bolder with her approach in contrast.
• The short "Dress Up" indicates that Biggie was aware of Branch's feelings towards Poppy long before Trolls World Tour, when Branch fully confesses how he feels about her. This is likely a joke, considering that Poppy herself was ignorant of this, even with Branch saying he loves her in True Colors.
• Biggie's star sign is Cancer.

  • This implies to his sensitive nature as people born under the Cancer star sign are sensitive, shy and gentle.

• Biggie's voice actor in 3D animation, James Corden, had to re-record many of his lines because the director Mike Mitchell kept laughing at what Biggie was doing in a scene.
