Blues (also referred to as B) along with her sister Rhythm are a pair of characters from Trolls: TrollsTopia. They are a pair of sisters and delegates from the Funk Troll Tribe who came to reside in TrollsTopia.

Appearance
[]

Normal

Blues is a yellow and orange-striped Funk Troll with pink hair, nose, arms and legs, and blue eyes. She has blue star-shaped hairbands that tie her hair into two buns on the sides. She has golden stud earrings in both ears, a bracelet on her right arm, a couple of aglets on her left leg, a toe ring on her right foot, and two golden chokers around her neck.

Both her and Rhythm are bipedal Funk Trolls and have long gown-like fur. They also have only 3 toes on each foot compared to the typical four toes of other Trolls, but the standard 4 fingers on their hands.

Personality
[]

Rhythm & Blues are passionate scientists and inventors. However, they tend to make unnecessarily big and overly elaborate inventions to accomplish simple tasks, like opening a bottle, and when questioned about their excessiveness, they often respond with "Where's the fun in that?". Though they do know when they go too far, especially if they damage someone's property and promise to fix what they broke.

They later displayed a form of emotional self-denial in forcing themselves to stay busy and looking for any kind of distraction in order to avoid their homesickness, until Holly Darlin' convinced them to just let out the sadness instead of bottling it up. In doing so, they felt much better afterwards and realized that despite leaving their home in Vibe City, they'd come to love TrollsTopia as another home and consider themselves lucky to have more than one place to call home. In "Laguna Tidepool & the Lost Game Room", both of them noted that they don't like drama.

Despite their similarities, the duo like to do some activities on their own. Blues is by herself at first playing hide and seek in "Nowhere to Fun, Nowhere to Hide".

Blues struggles to cope with the issues with the ship and Rhythm's antics on her own even with Poppy's help during "Big Sis B", when Rhythm was turned into a child. The duo works best as a team and without one of them they struggle.

In "Hide & Go Hug", DJ Suki lists the Funk sisters as Trolls who do take charge when she, Demo and Synth are trying to figure out who to imitate who is known to take charge in a desperate situation. Specifically, the sisters use Funk technology to resolve issues.

Relationships
[]

Rhythm[]

The sisters usually refer to each other as "R" and "B" rather than their full names. They get along so well that the twins Satin & Chenille were even jealous of them. They tend to display the same emotions and thoughts as each other and speak the same lingo, and will often encourage and support each other. When one sister fails at something, they pass the duty to the other to let her succeed; if both fail, then they panic.

Blues has always sought out her sister for help.

Queen Poppy[]

Poppy is supportive of them and is impressed with all of their inventions. She had done a lot of social things for them, such as inviting them for Girls' Night and helping them in trying to clear their homesickness and, along with Holly, catching a Hair-i-cane. In "R&B in R&D", Poppy helped Rhythm & Blues to build some improvements in order to get a job at the Funtime Factory.

Holly Darlin'[]

Rhythm & Blues get along with Holly very well. In "Girls' Night", they did her hair with their Cyclone Dimension. Holly has helped them in many of the same situations as Poppy, including giving them an ultimate solution to clear their homesickness.

Laguna Tidepool[]

Laguna gets along well with Rhythm & Blues due to their mutual interests in science and research.

Branch[]

Due to their craftsmanship skills, Rhythm & Blues are sometimes seen working with Branch on building, such as in "Cakes on a Train", where they built the Metroll System. In "Nowhere to Fun, Nowhere to Hide", they also helped Branch to tag Poppy. They are also supportive for him.

Skills & Abilities
[]

They have most normal Troll abilities, as well as the abilities of their Tribe.

Engineering[]

They're brilliant scientists and inventors, able to engineer complex devices, tools, and technology that can either be so advanced as to manipulate time, space and reality, or are overly elaborate and unnecessary in performing simple tasks. They relate to Laguna Tidepool on a professional level, but are able to apply skills and trust in themselves so they can put theory into practice, which Laguna struggles with in contrast. They have their own lab on the Vibe Town ship. The girls have PHDs in "everything" they are also proud of. They were also seen working with Branch to implement the Metroll train.

As of "R&B in R&D", the sisters landed their dream job with Sky Toronto. Although he puts pressure on them to produce ideas, he accepts their ideas have flaws, but wants them to work together to fix those flaws rather then them hide any.

Blues lacks confidence in her skills without Rhythm as the two are used to working together. When Rhythm was turned back to 3 years old in "Big Sis B", Blues couldn't work without her. With some encouragement from Poppy, she eventually fixes the ship and saves the day by imitating her sister guiding her simultaneously.

Music[]

The two sisters are both into Funk music and sing in a style much like their names imply. Their style is different from the isorhythmic style of twins Satin & Chenille, using more of a "call and response", involving one sister saying something and then the other singing in response to the same tune.

Vehicle Maneuver[]

The duo are one of the Funk Trolls that have access to the controls of Vibe Town including its bubble beam.

Party Games[]

The pair like to partake in different games to each other. Blues prefers games like Hide and Seek.

Baking[]

The pair are known to bake friendship cakes, as seen in "The Search for Piece" and "Big Sis B".

Both her and her sister struggled in "The Tech-less Breakfast" to bake pancakes without Funk technology, they even struggled to read the book which instructed them on how to bake them, as they had never made pancakes without their tech. They eventually succeeded, but their means were not mundane.

Trivia
[]

  • Similar to Satin & Chenille, they usually stand onscreen facing the viewer, with Rhythm on the left and Blues on the right in their naming order. However, unlike the twins, they sometimes switch places more often, resulting in Rhythm standing right of Blues.
