Character Concept History

They're left unnamed in the actual movie, but were first seen in a cut animatic for Trolls World Tour. After Cloud Guy had broken up with Janet earlier in the film, he was left alone while their mother went into a rebound relationship with a large thundercloud. Later at the end of the movie, Cloud Guy would have appeared with Poppy, Branch, Biggie and Cooper, seeing what's wrong with him. Cloud Guy then gives birth to his triplets; the scene cuts to a family sitcom parody titled "Cloud 9", where Cloud Guy raises his and Janet's kids by himself. After a while, the channel is changed by Bridget and King Gristle Jr., who aren't impressed by the show.

How Cloud Guy gave birth in the cut scene (popping his kids out of his head) seems to have been recycled for Guy Diamond, as the scene mimics how he gave birth to Tiny Diamond.

Chris Haltzel supplied an alternative storyboard. When Branch's weapons are kicked out of the balloon in the film, just before the arrival to Symphonyville, the weapons almost hit Cloud Guy's kids, who are following him. He asks if they're alright but the kids are fine.[1]

At one stage, there were five children: Stratus, Nimbus (who seems to have been a prototype of Jr.), Cumulonimbus (who appears to be an early version of Stormy) and Fog, with the youngest, a baby, going unnamed.

Trolls World Tour[]

Windy, Stormy and Jr. are born offscreen in the credits after Cloud Guy met Janet, proposed and married her. The three then appear on a bicycle ridden by the entire family.
