Delta Dawn is a supporting character in Trolls World Tour and Trolls: Holiday in Harmony. She is the mayor and sheriff of Lonesome Flats and the leader of the Country Trolls. In the "Tourist Map" video from the aforementioned movie's extras, Delta is called "Queen Delta Dawn" by Cloud Guy.
Appearance[]
- Normal
Delta is an orange-skinned Country Troll with large orange-red hair and a small white hat with a golden star. The lower half of her body is that of a horse, which makes her look centaur-like. Her horse tail is green. She wears a white and green plaid shirt, white pants, and a brown belt with a circle-shaped buckle. She's also one of the few Trolls in the franchise with a bust; most others are flat-chested, as DreamWorks tends to use the same body shapes for Trolls of both genders.
- Normal
She appears the same as she does in Trolls World Tour.
She is shown also to be taller then Holly Darlin'.Official Bios[]

As the fearless boss of the Country Music Trolls, Mayor Delta Dawn is tasked with keeping the peace, and no one in Lonesome Flats is more up to the challenge. She’s a whip smart, youthful leader with an unmistakably beautiful singing voice, accompanied by her extravagant auburn locks and no-fuss attitude; in other words, she’s a radiant vision in crocheted cowboy boots. But don’t let first impressions fool you—Delta Dawn is more than willing to get tough with anyone who threatens this traditional way of life. Because it reflects their hardscrabble world, country music means everything to the citizens of Lonesome Flats. As for Delta Dawn…she will protect her town and her music with everything she’s got. A seasoned vet of the industry, co-director Dave Smith was surprised when Delta herself strolled onto the Glendale, California, campus. "Kelly Clarkson is the most honest, sincere ‘best friend’—immediately when she walks through the door. Kelly has no air about herself. She is a kind, wonderful, beautiful human being. And then, her talent and energy? She is the real deal."[1] |

Personality[]
Delta normally looks friendly at first glance and she was initially sympathetic towards Queen Poppy, Branch, and Biggie (commenting that the three of them looked like they'd been beaten up by a rainbow). Until she reacts harshly from them playing a different music genre that offended her and her townsfolk, going as far as arresting Poppy, Branch and Biggie for committing a "crime against music".
Even though she initially harbored resentment to the other Tribes, she later gladly learns to accept their differences.
A personality chart of her in the DreamWorks Trolls Twitter account states that she has a sassy attitude and love for all "Southern" things, as well as being as smart as a whip.[2]
Relationships[]
Clampers Buttonwillow[]
She appears to love her niece Clampers greatly, often carrying her in her long hair.
Skills & Abilities[]
She has most normal Troll abilities, as well as the abilities of her Tribe.
Music[]
She's highly skilled at playing her 5-string banjo, often harmonizing its notes to complement her singing voice.
Leadership[]
As leader of the Country Trolls, it was her sworn duty to protect her music, including the orange string of Country, until the Strings were destroyed and the Trolls reunificated as a nation.
Songs[]
Trolls World Tour[]
- "Born to Die"
- "Just Sing"
Trolls: Holiday in Harmony[]
Etymology[]
"Delta Dawn" is the title of a song written by Alex Harvey and originally performed by Larry Collins. It has been covered by other artists, such as Tanya Tucker and Helen Reddy.
Trivia[]
General
- The 5th string on her banjo is a G-chord. This string is present on many modern banjos, and is always "G" when hit unless it's fretted. Compared to the other strings, it only goes a fraction of the way up the neck of the banjo. Since it's the only chord that is certain to sound out reliably, many banjo songs base their notes with it in mind, as it's easy for both beginners and experts to hit this chord.
- Delta has 3 trademarks related to her; books and magazines, clothing and toys, games and playthings.
- Delta's star sign is Libra.[3]
- Libra is typically associated with friendliness and being extroverted. The former case is ironic, as Delta isn't necessarily completely friendly.
