"Extreme Sleepover Club: Spooky Edition!" is the second segment of the 3rd episode of the third season of Trolls: TrollsTopia, and the 43rd overall episode in the series. It premiered in June 10, 2021.
Synopsis[]
The Extreme Sleepover Club welcomes two new members, Dante and Demo, by having their first sleepover in the abandoned hairpod of Raisin Ruby, a Troll rumored to have baked raisins into cupcakes. Dante and Demo are having the best sleepover ever, but things take a spooky twist when the real Raisin Ruby makes an appearance.
Plot[]
Smidge calls to order the meeting of the Extreme Sleepover Club. Her usual members are present in the form of Guy Diamond, Biggie and Cooper, plus herself. Cooper is constantly setting off the end of meeting canon, and Smidge recalls some of their recent sleepovers, but the meeting does its job. Demo and Dante Crescendo wish to join the club. They swear the oath, but must be given the challenge of spending one night in a place of designation. The choice isn't the Pillow Palace, where TrollsTopia keeps its pillow supplies, but rather the spooky abandoned pod on the hill behind it, much to Demo and Dante's alarm.
Demo and Dante go to Poppy, who is playing a game with R&B's Disco ball-o-gram, which can imagine any game their mind can come up with; Poppy comes up with checkers, but she confirms her checker dreams are pretty wild. Demo and Dante are desperate to make a good impression on their first sleepover and they have turned for help with their first sleepover as the other members are slumber masters. They ask for all the information Poppy has on the old mansion at the edge of town. Poppy claims it was abandoned because of a leaky roof; DJ confirms it does. She confirmed they say it is haunted by the Ghost of Raisin Ruby, which DJ Suki notes they say because it is fun to be spooked. Poppy tells how Raisin Ruby liked to bake treats, but kept putting raisins in everything. Demo asks if Poppy always carries around raisins in her hair just in case she tells this story and she confirms "yes". She then suggests they are likely to play everyone's favorite sleepover game.
At the mansion, Smidge says they are going to play Eek-a-boo. The rules are that the players have to split into two teams and hide anywhere they want in the mansion, and then try and spook each other. Smidge pulls a couple of practice scares on Demo and Dante. Smidge and Guy run off to hide, and Dante and Demo say it is now their chance to show the pair what they can do.
Smidge and Guy are coming down the hallway and Demo and Dante are ahead of them. Demo plans to use the "Hair Scare" tactic, and shifts his hair into a scary face around his own, while Dante doing likewise. They jump around the corner and face a pair of mirrors Smidge and Guy are holding; this ends up scaring themselves instead. Their next plot is to pop a series of balloons as Smidge and Guy come down the stairs, but Guy comes out of a picture frame and Tiny Diamond scares the pair with airhorns. They are next seen on top of a mouse piñata head. They jump down in front of the pair, but Smidge pulls a rug from under them and they fall into a pit where Tiny Diamond is waiting for them. He does the "Hair Scare" tactic on them and they freak out.
The 4 Trolls go to sleep in their sleeping bags, and while Smidge and Guy had a lot of fun, Demo and Dante are saddened by their failure to scare them. This makes them feel they failed to impress the pair, but after a series of who as, Smidge and Guy state they have never been scared by any new member ever on their first night because the pair have years of Eek-a-boo experience. Smidge states the point of the club is to have fun together. As Smidge goes to declare their sleep, a sudden smell enters the room; they are hit by the smell of baked goods with raisins. As a shadowy figure is seen humming on the other side of the door the smell comes from, Dante jokes about it just being another of Smidge and Guy's scares, but it is not, stating it is just Tiny making the smell in the next room. Tiny confirms he is not making the smell by asking where it is coming from. Raisin Ruby comes through the door and presents a tray of blueberry muffins with raisins.
A series of chase scenes ensues as Raisin Ruby chases the 4 through her mansion. They go to escape the mansion after the sequence, but Raisin Ruby locked the door to keep the draft out as the raisins would dry out. As Guy and Smidge confess their fears, Dante and Demo call "gotcha!" as Raisin Ruby was a hologram caused by R&B's Disco ball-o-gram device. Rhythm, Blues, Poppy and DJ Suki enter the room and the 6 Trolls say "boo" at Smidge and Guy then laugh. Dante explains that when they heard they would be playing Eek-a-boo, they asked Rhythm & Blues for use of their Disco ball-o-gram. Smidge and Guy state when asked that it was the most fun they've ever had. Smidge continues by saying they usually wait a while to declare the "nome de slumber" of Demo and Dante as "Power Nap" and "Shut Eye". The episode ends with Cooper hitting them with one last pillow cannon.

Trivia[]
- The episode continues the storyline of the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "Extreme Sleepover Club".
- In early leaked storyboards, the episode was titled "The Ghost of Raisin Ruby".
- The storyboard animatic version can be watched here.
- This is one of the episodes in which Demo appears without Val Thundershock.
- This episode marks the fifth time the gag of "gravity does not work until you look down" occurs in the series. The gag happens to Dante and Demo, despite the fact that Dante can fly.
- The Pillow Palace is the Pillow Fort where Poppy built during the Pillow War between her and Branch in "Pillow War", in short, the Fort has now become a feature since its construction.
- There are recipes that include raisins. For this, Golden Raisins are usually used because they're the healthiest, a couple of examples include such recipes as "oatmeal cookies with raisins" and "bread pudding". Raisins and similar dried fruits such as currents and sultanas are, however, not common for most cake recipes. Despite the fear shown by the Trolls towards them, raisins are dry, but can be very sweet when present in baked goods, as are any similar dried fruit; this is caused by the sugar in the fruit becoming sweeter when heated.
- As a side note, the raisins wouldn't have need to fear being dried out by a draft; not only did they lose their moisture when they were dried out as grapes, but they would have lost most of any remaining moist texture in the baking process.
- Demo and Dante joining the club is not out of character; as a Rock Troll, Demo likes over-the-top epic things, and Dante is a socialite who will join in to be part of something.
- The ghost chase scene is a nod to Scooby-Doo and its famous ghost chase scenes. The music playing is much like some of the songs that would play in later series of the franchise.
