Tresillo is a supporting character in Trolls World Tour. He's a hinterland Troll who's one of the bounty hunters hired by Queen Barb, and the leader of the Reggaeton Trolls.

Appearance

Normal

Tresillo is a teal-skinned Troll with a pale green nose and blonde hair, as well as stubble. He doesn't wear clothes, but has bright-colored markings on his body, alongside stud earrings. His hair is in dreadlocks, some of which are other warm colors besides blonde.

Personality

Tresillo is the confident leader of the Reggaeton Trolls. He's respectful towards the talents of others' dancing, and his love of Reggaeton is his life passion, claiming that he simply cannot live without it. He's not above cutting losses and was prepared to split the capture of Branch with The K-Pop Gang, as well as accepting Branch's counter-proposal.

He has most normal Troll abilities.

Music

His speciality is Reggaeton. He's one of the Trolls who are a subculture spun from existing Tribes, similar to Tiny Diamond and Chaz. He and his female dancers Marimba and Tambora are the start of a brand new Tribe of Trolls, but are limited in their numbers right now.

Tresillo, along with his female dancers, are synchronized dancers able to pull off twists and twirls together. The dance seen during Mi Gente involved a lot of hip movement as well.

He, Marimba and Tambora are the first Trolls featured so far to not sing in English.

Bounty Hunting

Tresillo is quite a sly Bounty Hunter; he didn't do the work needed to capture Branch, but rather let The K-Pop Gang do it for him, and then he and his dancers moved in an attempt to take Branch from them. He's not greedy, proposing a split of Branch with the K-Pop Gang after the two groups earned each other's mutual respect.

Etymology

A "tresillo" is a pattern of rhythmic sound cell that's popular in Latin American music, but is also used in other music genres. This is shown in a marking on his chest, which appears to represent 3 notes of equal time span (probably semiquavers), where tresillos are most commonly used.

• His appearance suggests that he's of Pop Troll heritage like Tiny Diamond, though it's currently unknown what his heritage is spun from.
• In Trolls World Tour: The Junior Novelization, Tresillo is unnamed.
• J Balvin reprises his role as Tresillo in the Latin American and European Spanish dubs of Trolls World Tour.
