Hasbro Classic Trolls

The Hasbro Classic Trolls are a series of dolls produced by Hasbro, based on the classic Troll design.

About

Hasbro is one of the two companies that have celebrated the 60th anniversary of the classic "Good Luck Trolls" brand. The other one is Funko. While Funko went for a more traditional design, Hasbro opted to copy the Dark Horse and modern DreamWorks Trolls styles and most of the Troll Dolls Hasbro released had colored bodies.

60th Anniversary Dolls

Blue

Yellow and blue

Pink and yellow

Purple

These dolls were released in 2019 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the creation of the Troll Dolls. They came in a number of colors, and had a "wishstone" that was supposed to be rubbed while making a wish.

Exclusive Dolls

An exclusive doll only sold at Target stores, this was based upon the Rainbow Troll design.

An alternative version of this doll had the classic "Good Luck Troll" Doll tan skin.

Other

A Classic style Troll could also be pulled from wave 10 in miniature range blind bags released at the time.

This doll was based upon a traditional Tan colouration.

Trivia

• Prior to DreamWorks acquiring the rights to "Trolls", there had been issues with its copyright. The copyright allowed for a number of companies to produce Troll Dolls, and due to their popularity sell them. Hasbro was one of the companies that took advantage of this.   • Hasbro also released the The Original Battle Trolls, which were a series of Troll Dolls aimed at boys.
  • DIC Entertainment produced the TV series Trollz, of which Hasbro had the license to produce toys for. However, the series wasn't successful, and problems had occurred with the issue of the sale of toys based on Trollz. These dolls were aimed solely at girls, and are named after gemstones.
• Hasbro also previewed a 4-pack and 5-pack set, but neither were released.
