Hasbro produced a series of fashion dolls since Trolls World Tour.

They were updated until Hasbro lost their Trolls licensing in 2022 to Mattel, and were replaced with the Mattel Fashion Dolls.

About
[]

Appearance

Their size makes them on par with the medium range dolls, which all stand at least 30 centimeters tall.

The clothing is made of fabric instead of moulded onto the doll as part of the design. Due to them being fashion dolls, their bodies are also slimmer-looking and more human-like.The dolls are meant for children to play with or simply to collect for display purposes, although like many other fashion dolls they aren't meant for aggressive play.

Representation of Characters

Unlike other medium-sized dolls, some body diversity has been shown, with Techno Trolls having fins instead of feet. This is an issue the main stable Medium range suffers from, wherein Hasbro tends to stick to the same body typing for the Trolls, resulting in no diversity in body styles.

Releases

The dolls have been fairly successful, and Hasbro has continued producing them since the first series for Trolls World Tour. They were released along with the Toddler Dolls and both lines were initially grouped as part of the "Medium" doll range. However, they have since become their own line. Medium dolls playsets are rare due to the size of the dolls.

Compatiblity with other ranges

These dolls aren't fully compatible with past dolls from other lines, but are compatible with each other and thus can wear each other's outfits and accessories with exceptions.

Characters[]

One of the problems with the series is its lack of character representation, with the main focus being on Poppy. Asides from Poppy, only Val Thundershock, Satin & Chenille, Queen Barb, DJ Suki, Branch and two generic Techno Troll Mermaids have been released. No Country, Classical or Funk dolls saw a release.

The series has also focused mostly on female dolls (which is common among fashion doll lines overall), with Branch being the only male doll represented.

Care & Handling[]

  • Though a few threads of hair may be lost initially, they're not as prone to loss as the hair of other dolls.
  • They have limited movable joints, and are generally stiff.

Stylin' Poppy

From March 2020 until January 2021 the main focus of the series was on the recently-released Trolls World Tour movie, and these dolls used the movie to lunch the toyline on.

It initially launched with two lines, the "Stylin'" line, which was a budget wave of dolls, and a "Deluxe" line, which included more expensive dolls with more accessories.

Stylin' Poppy

Trolls: TrollsTopia became Hasbro's overall marketing focus on the franchise from January 2021 onwards.

Like the Trolls World Tour line, the Trolls: TrollsTopia launched with two types of dolls, the low budget "Stylin" and the more expensive "Deluxe".

Out of the four inital releases, however, two of them were re-releases of older dolls.

This was the final run due to Hasbro loosing their licensing to Mattel.

Trivia
[]

  • Due to their design and style of clothing, as well as height, they resemble certain dolls made for the Trollz series more closely than the traditional Troll Dolls.
  • Stylin' Poppy has a trademark.
