From 2016 to 2018, Hasbro produced a number of "Fuzzy" figurines figurines and sets for the Trolls movie. Each release in the series had at least one doll with a slight "fuzz" (also known as "flocking") on it in each set. These figurines are the second series in the Hasbro Small Figurines. In addition to the fuzziness of the dolls, most have "Twist and Bend" hair, which were first featured in Smidge's "Wild Hair" doll from the Trolls releases.

The "fuzzy" skin was used for a number of miniature from the blind bag waves, with the "twist and bend" hair being re-used for the "Hair Hugger" series. Fuzzy skin would also be reused for several Trolls World Tour dolls.

Appearances
[]

Coooper, Smidge, Moxie Dewdrop, Poppy, Branch, Guy Diamond, Harper, DJ Suki, Maddy, Satin and Chenille appeared in this toyline.

Several critters returned from past sets.

The "Baby Troll" design is the only unique Troll design.

Sculptures
[]

  • Branch and Poppy dolls became the main designs in this series, and the standard moulds for most future releases until the Trolls World Tour era in 2020.
  • Gia Grooves was released in this series at the same time as her "With Critter" release.
  • Smidge, Harper and most other Trolls that appear in this series reuse past moulds and sculptures.
    • Smidge reuses her old head mould sculpture, but has a new body design.
  • The "Baby Troll" design didn't appear outside the small range, although it was also later released in the Hasbro Miniature Figurines blind bags. This series' "Baby Trolls" have plastic hair compared to the blind bag releases, which have cotton hair.

Packaging
[]

The series has had two package styles:

  • Orange Hair - most of the series was made with the orange hair style of package used in the Trolls promotional movie releases.
  • Blue Packaging - has a blue border and often a image of the Troll that's the focus of the release on it.

Hair Rising[]

Release year: 2017

Each one has a model inside and a comb that is meant to be placed as a decoration in the Troll's hair, as well as 3 felt hair decorations, except for Smidge who has 5 due to her smaller size.

For some reason, some of the releases of the dolls don't have the "Warning: Choking Hazard" text on the front. These dolls were meant to be this series' "basic" dolls, but the set didn't flesh out into a full series.

Poppy and Harper's Pod Pack[]

Poppy and Harper's Pod Pack was a Toys "R" Us and Kohl's exclusive set containing Poppy, Harper and two pods, as well as accessories.

The girls stand in the pods using the small peg on the floor which goes into the hole in their left foot. Their hair goes through the opening of the pods' roof. The pods are designed as much for display purposes as play for this reason. They're based on a pod from the "POD'ular Tree" found in the critter series, and therefore can hang off the tree as alternative pods to the ones the set comes with.

The dolls also lack the "Twist and Bend" hair of other dolls in this range.

Stylin' Trolls Collection[]

Release year: 2017

The Stylin' Trolls Collection set contains Cooper, Smidge, Guy Diamond, Poppy, Branch, DJ Suki, Maddy and Moxie Dewdrop. It has a Critterboard, several felt hair accessories, a couple of critters, a comb and stickers. This was a Toys "R" Us exclusive. The Cooper in this set is a "Fuzzy" Troll while the other Trolls are normal plastic skin. In this set's case, the fuzziness of Cooper was to highlight he's covered in fur while the other Trolls are not. In adddition, none of the dolls have the "Twist and Bend" hair common for this range. The set serves as a booster to buff out a collection, and has a large number of the of the Trolls character cast.

Troll Baby[]

Release year: 2017

These go with the earlier "Hair Rising" set, and feature fuzzy Trolls with a Troll baby that ties around the Troll's hair to help style it. This also mimics the way baby Trolls play in their parents hair and grasp things. The babies are also used to help tie Satin and Chenille together and hide they are actually separate dolls (common for the pair). The baby Trolls were the first Trolls released with plastic hair instead of the traditional cotton/wool hair.

The babies in this series are scaled more closely to the actual size of baby Trolls in the Trolls era, compared to the "Baby Poppy" doll from the "basic" set. These releases are also the only time the "baby"-sized dolls were released in the intended Small range; all others were released for the Miniature series' blind bags. They're not fuzzy compared to Satin and Chenille, or some of the blind bag versions of "baby" Trolls.

The two dolls also paralleled the "With Baby" dolls of Poppy and Gia Grooves in the Medium range.

These dolls when feartured in the New York Toy Fair 2018 were not orginally fuzzy dolls. In addition, Branch and Poppy were also due to have their own release in this set.[1]

Hair-Rising Party Pack[]

The Hair Rising Party Pack contains four Trolls: Guy Diamond, Gia Grooves, Poppy and Harper. Poppy and Harper are fuzzy-skinned while Gia and Guy are glittered. This set includes various combs, critters and felt hair decorations. Gia and Guy have normal non-fuzzy skin due to the fact that in Trolls, Glitter Trolls don't have the fuzzy skin that the other Trolls have.

The main purpose of the set is to boaster a collection and has 3 of the most popular characters that Hasbro has depicted as dolls.
