It Takes Three is a 3D-CGI and 2D-traditional animated short film based on Trolls Band Together directed by Jon Magram, written by Colin Jack & Wendy Sullivan and produced by Gina Shay, Walt Dohrn, Tim Heitz, Michael Vollman & Angie Howard.[1] It was included in the "Sing-along Edition" of Trolls Band Together on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD, and has a runtime of 3 minutes and 54 seconds.[2]
Synopsis[]
Poppy, Viva and Tiny Diamond get sucked into the Hustle-verse, only to discover that it is devoid of hustle. The trio decide to sing their way out, hopefully generating enough harmony to re-ignite the Hustle-verse and escape.
Plot[]
With BroZone going on tour, Poppy and Viva are tasked to look after Rhonda. However, due to Viva allowing Tiny to mess with the buttons inside Rhonda, mainly with the Hustle Dimension button, Rhonda accidentally sucks in both Poppy and Viva into her body.
Within Rhonda, Poppy and Viva are surprised that the Hustle-verse is devoid of the usual "hustle", while Tiny is checking if they are okay from outside. Viva initially tries to help herself and Poppy escape with her sticky hands, but the sticky hands fails to reach Tiny. After Poppy sings a note, both sisters realize that the best way to escape is to sing harmonious songs. With the revelation, they sing "It Takes Two" together, creating colors within the Hustle Dimension.
However, both sisters soon begin to descend just as they get closer to the exit, as they eventually run out of notes to sing. Fortunately, Tiny risks himself to sing with them, helping both sisters to flee from the Hustle Dimension, which has regained its colors.
After being spat out by Rhonda, Viva and Poppy hug each other and laugh at Tiny being flat, until they realize Guy Diamond won't be happy that his son has been flattened.
