Marshtato Mary is a minor antagonist from Trolls: The Beat Goes On! and Trolls: TrollsTopia.

Appearance

Marshtato Mary is a large creature resembling an anthropomorphic marshmallow, with purple limbs and blue eyes.

Personality

Mary is obsessed with a plant species known as Marshtato. She is greedy when it comes to it, and likes to keep all of its specimens for herself. When she realized that she could be mistaken by the Trolls for the Marshtato Fairy, she formed wings and purposely went to Pop Village to ruin the Pop Trolls' dreams about there being a Marshtato Fairy, just to get the marshtatos from them.

She persists her revenge into Trolls: TrollsTopia and generally tries to ruin the Trolls parties in general. She often angrily notes she is not cute and adorable and is very shouty and aggressive. In the episode "The Troublesome Trio", she is also shown to be full of herself and considers herself "evil".

Relationships

She discriminated against the Pop Trolls by calling them "elves", after TrollsTopia was founded, this extended to most Trolls.

Pushy Poppy and Chaz

The trio originally teamed up to take down TrollsTopia, but were clueless on how to get along, constantly fighting with each other as a result. By the end of "The Troublesome Trio" the trio had become friends. So much so that they started doing each others hobbies and ended up with no spare time to conquer TrollsTopia.

Mary didn't seem too bothered by teaming up with Chaz and Pushy, despite them both being "elves" and never once used the term against the duo. She got along well with Pushy Poppy the most of the two, but didn't find Chaz as gross when he spoke about his chest hair. He main issue was she was acting like the defector leader of the group, and despite the other two also arguing over leadership. They also did not share her ideals with conquering TrollsTopia to ruin the TrollsTopiana's parties. Mary also jumped to conclusions in both regards to her being the leader and other things like Poppy's ball having magic power.

By the end of the episode, Mary was the one who was stating that she was inviting Chaz and Pushy Poppy bowling as well as declaring that they had pottery classes on Thursday when Chaz notes that he can't be evil that day.

Skills & Abilities

She has the ability to change herself into a simple glowing light, and is able to make other adjustments to her body, like growing wings. Mary also has control over critters.

Sports

It is revealed in "The Troublesome Trio" that Mary goes bowling, a hobby Pushy Poppy also adores. When Pushy reveals this, Mary invites both her and Chaz to go bowling with her.

• Mary is the only character in the series that truly discriminates against the Trolls. While Bergens no longer wish to eat them, this was a predator-prey situation and they have since abandoned this practice, save Barnald, and any negative reactions are now a clash of cultures. Mary, however, goes out of her way to discriminate against the Trolls and continues to use slurs.
  • She is also the only character to use slurs against another race or Tribe.
