Mount Rageons, also known as Rageons and referred to as Teenagers behind the scenes, are the inhabitants of Mount Rageous. They are first seen in Trolls Band Together.
History[]
Little is known about their history, but a few details can be taken from Trolls Band Together.
In note, they have the Lifer Award, a life-time award for members of their species who have reached incredible amounts of fame. For this award to exist, it can also be presumed this reward has been handed out a number of times over the years to past successful musicians of their people. And noting their laws against Trollnapping and Troll Torture, its presumable that they've had contact with Trolls in the past and at least one incident in the past relating to them in which members of their species exploited them for self-gain.
Biology[]
Appearance[]
Mount Rageons are humanoid beings that appear to be made of rubber or plastic. While not as tall as the tallest Bergens, Mount Rageons are typically taller than the average Bergen, with their estimated height being six feet tall. They are very slim and lanky, and have overall immaculate appearances with no visible blemishes, scars or injuries. They have colored lips and big eyes, and their noses are petite. Their hair is commonly styled in plasticine shapes, and their skin is typically a silvery or matte chrome color. Though the colors of the rest of their body can vary, they typically have a monochromatic color scheme, which consists of multiple shades of a single color.
They tend to wear baggy trousers, jumpsuits and other outfits reminiscent of the 1980s and 1990s. The clothes they wear normally are meant to match their hair.
Like randomly generated Trolls, the majority of the Mount Rageon population is made by random design generation.
- Sexual Dimorphism
There are only minor differences between male and female members of their species, for example there are hairstyles and accessories exclusive to one gender or the other. Beyond that, male and female members of their species are largely only picked out by the presence of eyelashes, with males lacking in them.
Reproduction[]
Their species are known shown to have children, but due to the fact that Trolls Band Together only focuses on the teenage Mount Rageons, the exact methods of their species reproduction are never disclosed.
Lifespans[]
Like Trolls, Mount Rageons start off as young children and grow up to become adults. While adults of the species are never shown onscreen, Mount Rageons go through an adolescent phase. Due to the lack of information about the Mount Rageons' life cycles, their average lifespan is unknown.
Predators[]
Mount Rageons have no known predators, but it is possible that they are vulnerable to threats that are outside of Mount Rageous.
Diet[]
Mount Rageons have a diet similar to those of the Trolls, although they seemingly have more "advanced" food, such as smoothies that were mentioned by Velvet. Furthermore, most of their food seems to be artificially produced, as evident in Veneer's flashback, where he and Velvet were seen eating extremely sugary food like cakes, doughnuts, and sweetened cereal. Considering how Mount Rageons have a more urban and sedentary lifestyle, it can be deduced that they may not have very balanced diets.
Habitat[]
Mount Rageons occupy Mount Rageous, a city in the sky. It is unknown where the children and adults live, as the city featured in Trolls Band Together is only occupied by teenagers. Velvet and Veneer grew up in the suburbs, so it is possible that there are rural or suburban regions of Mount Rageous outside of the city.
Abilities[]
Due to their flexible bodies, Mount Rageons take pride in their physical flexibility. They can swing and twist their bodies with ease, which gives them momentum, and a talented dancer for their species can swing, twist and twirl from one move to another with agility. Velvet demonstrated in the interview with Kid Ritz, that they have twirled and twisted their arms around each other several times. Veneer also demonstrated his flexibility by dancing the moves he invented in his childhood, and taking advantage of the slippery surfaces to catch up with Floyd.
However, they are physically weaker compared to the Bergens, having traded raw strength in exchange for elasticity. Despite this, they are more than strong enough due to their larger size, when pitched against Trolls.
Society[]
Behavior[]
Mount Rageons are superficial and hypocritical creatures that would rather focus on partying and earning materialistic gains than understanding their own kin's actual and individual personalities. Their society appears to prefer those who are assertive and outspoken, which explains why Velvet had gotten away with abusing her brother and why Veneer felt the need to hide his more softspoken personality. They also despise "fake" talents, and Veneer and Velvet's fans were more shocked by the fact that they were talentless than the fact that they had committed genuine crimes.
Despite the majority of Mount Rageons being friendly to Trolls, some of them are willing to exploit and abuse Trolls to steal their talents. The general populace was horrified to learn that Velvet and Veneer were abusing Trolls, and their society even has laws in place to prevent Trolls being abused. Veneer would later reveal that he only tortured Trolls under Velvet's orders and would rather go to prison than continue hurting them, which indicates that very few Mount Rageons enjoy hurting other creatures.
Social Structure[]
The most notable trait of Mount Rageons is their adoration of superstars, especially pop stars. Their entire culture is centered around their pop stars, with celebrities guaranteed massive fame, fortune, and fanbases. Talented individuals are guaranteed to become overnight sensations, with Velvet and Veneer rising to fame and fortune in just two months and being days away from their biggest concert at the start of Trolls Band Together. The most talented individuals will be given The Life-Time Award, a prestigious award that allows Mount Rageons to retire and live comfortably for life without having to do anything else. Famous Mount Rageons often become known in other parts of the world, with their music reaching Vacay Island and the Vacaytioners. Trolls such as Spruce, who are also aware of both Velvet and Veneer, even admit to liking their music.
Due to the majority of Mount Rageous being inhabited by teenagers, it is indicated that the adolescent Mount Rageons are treated like adults and leave their parents early with strong personal independence encouraged. Mount Rageon society is just as hypocritical as the species themselves; while Mount Rageons despise fakers and pretenders, their innate talent is nowhere near that of the Trolls, but they can steal their talent to become as talented as them. Also owing to their society's strong emphasis on personal independence and pleasure, Mount Rageons are less attentive to hidden toxic relationships, and some lack harmonious bonds with their family members. This allows Mount Rageons, Velvet being the prime example, to get away with bullying and tormenting their friends and family with little to no social or legal repercussions.
Mount Rageons are also extremely judgmental and callous towards those that have committed crimes, and they will shun anyone who has been in jail regardless of the crime they committed. While Veneer accepted going to jail for what he had done to the Trolls, Velvet was shocked that Veneer not only revealed their crimes but wanted to be punished for them.
Culture[]
Music[]
Their music is mostly based upon pop music and outdated cultural references. When the charts are shown during the interview with Kid Ritz, other famous singers can be seen in the charts, and the Top 5 songs are all about material gain and money.
Laws[]
Like other societies in the franchise, Mount Rageons have a judicial system and a set of laws for their society to follow, including laws against Trollnapping, Troll torture, tax evasion, and being frauds. Those who break the laws can wind up in jail, though the sentences likely vary based on the severity of the crime.
Because there are laws against Trollnapping and Troll torture, it can be assumed that the Mount Rageons have had enough incidents with Troll abuse in the past that their society felt the need to impose laws against it. This contrasts greatly with the Bergens, who treated Trolls as cattle and even ate them for a long period of time, but had no laws against their mistreatment thanks to the existence of Trollstice.
However, there appear to be loopholes in Mount Rageon laws that can be negatively exploited, such as a lack of attention towards workplace and domestic abuse. Velvet and Veneer were able to get away with the abuse of Crimp, and Velvet was able to get away with abusing her brother for a long time. The most heinous crime in Mount Rageon society appears to be being a fraud or pretending to have talent, as Velvet and Veneer's fans were more shocked with their lack of talent than the fact they had committed actual crimes.
Technology[]
Mount Rageons have highly-advanced technology and architecture, being even more avant-garde than Trolls and Bergens. They are advanced enough to have large televisions, and their city is decorated in neon lights. Their buildings pierce the sky and they live only in the tops of their skyscraper-like buildings. They have electricity and are power dependent as a result.
Their roads and highways defy gravity, going upside down and spiralling all over the place, and their vehicles resemble bumper cars. Both sides of the roads, being the topside and underside, can be used, split and merge on different routes.

Known Members[]
The following is a list of known Mount Rageons in the franchise, divided by the media where they first appeared in.
Movies[]
- Kid Ritz (voiced by Dillon Francis) - A Mount Rageon who interviewed Velvet and Veneer's raise to fame in just 2 months. His name "ritz" means "glamour and luxury".
Also mentioned in Trolls: Band Together are the following singers:
- Rollie Roy, who sung the No. 2 song "Earn That Gold".
- Phat Sammy, who sang the No. 3 song "Makin' Bank".
- Jay Bee, who sang the No. 4 song "I Got A New Car".
- Sage Boyz, a boy band who sang the No. 5 song "Bringin' in Dough".
Etymology[]
Like their city they are from, their name is a pun on "outrageous" which means "morally wrongful" or "unacceptable". The pun is created using the words "mount" which is short for "mountain" and "rage" meaning "extreme anger".
Similar to the Bergens of Bergen Town ("Bergen" also means "mountain") the use of the word "Mount" is likely a nod to how everything appears "as big as mountains" to the Trolls. This is not a surprise because originally Velvet and Veneer themselves were going to be Bergens, as were everyone related to their roles in the movie.
Trivia[]
- Velvet and Veneer are the only Mount Rageons to be confirmed to have parents. However, both parents remain mentioned and are left unseen. Veneer mentioned that their parents were dentists, so it can be presumed that adult Mount Rageons can occupy mundane jobs.
- The Mount Rageons appear to resemble the Betty Spaghetty doll, and appear inspired by the 1920s "rubberhose" animation style.
- Betty Spaghetty is described to be a fun-loving teenage girl with a younger sibling, which corresponds to Velvet's love for raving and partying, and her being the older sibling.
- Known Mount Rageons are named after artificial materials, which matches their city-sheltered lifestyle. The only exception to this is Phat Sammy, whose name is derived from Phat Sammy's, a beach-themed restaurant in Huntsville, Alabama.
- Their chart show is called "The Bop on Top" and is most likely a nod to song chart shows like the British chart show Top of the Pops.
- "Bop" is slang for "good song".
- The title could also be a reference to "Bop to the Top", a musical number from the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical. The song is about being on top and pushing away everything and everyone that gets in the way, which correlates to Mount Rageons and their view of fame.
- Although Mount Rageons are aware of Trolls' existence, it is currently unknown if they know the other Troll tribes outside of the Pop Trolls.
- Despite their obviously abnormal features, Mount Rageons are arguably the only creatures in the Trolls franchise who's appearance lean closely to that of a Human.
