This is a list of songs featured in the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "New Anthem". Each of these songs was rated by the Fun Meter.
Original Troll Anthem[]
The original Troll anthem was made by the time the Trolls and Bergens were still enemies, and is aimed at enforcing how the Trolls can't trust their enemy. The issue was that as of Trolls, the two species are now friends, and this anthem was unwanted access baggage of the past, which was encouraging children to still pretend to act like Bergens were their enemies, thus causing unnecessary mistrust.
Lyrics
The Bergens are our lifelong enemies
And we'll never be their friends
Suggested Songs[]
Note: The songs are listed in the order in which they're played in the episode, and with a brief description of the issues that each one of them had.
"Put Your Hair Up"[]
DJ Suki chooses a repetitive song with limited lyrics. The song starts off strong, but never picks up, which disappoints Poppy.
This song is a reference to the series' opening theme Hair In The Air, which was in turn based on the Trolls song Hair Up.
Lyrics
DJ Suki:
Put your hair up, yeah
Put your hair up, yeah
Put your hair up, yeah
Put your hair up, yeah
Put your hair up, yeah
Put your hair up, yeah
Put your hair up, yeah
Put your hair up, yeah

"Closet Rap"[]
Satin & Chenille's song begins with seemingly like it'll talk about Troll Village, but soon switches to the twins talking about their interest in fashion, making it very personal to themselves.
Lyrics
Satin:
Hey, Chenille
Chenille:
Yeah?
Satin:
Are you ready to sing about Troll Village?
Chenille:
Yeah!
Satin:
Uh, but pause it. First, we're talking about our closet.
Both:
We [?]
Gowns to get down, or up, all times
One size fits all, so it's double the style
Satin & Chenille, best dress for miles

"Singing to Mr. Dinkles"[]
Biggie's song is a tribute to his pet worm Mr. Dinkles, but also to the real-life American rock singer Meat Loaf. The tribute song ends up being personal to Biggie as well, and not what Poppy wanted.
Lyrics
Biggie:
From the mist of Misty Meadows
To the shores of the lagoon
Every Troll will stand united
As we sing this song to you
Oh, Mr. Dinkles
Mr. Dinkles:
Meep! Meep!
Meep! Meep!
Biggie:
Oh, yeah
Mr. Dinkles
Mr. Dinkles:
Meep!
Biggie:
We're all singing to you
Mr. Dinkles
Rating
7 out of 10.
"Glitter Farture"[]
Guy Diamond's song simply involves him farting to the tune of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's song "The Year 1812 Solemn Overture". Due to its lack of lyrics, Poppy was disappointed in the performance's popularity.
Rating
8 out of 10.
"Spreading The Love"[]
Poppy's song is exactly about what she wants: a sense of community spirit and love. But Branch picks fault in it, as it's blissful ignorance.
Lyrics
Poppy:
You already know, know who we are
And I think you know how we get down
It is all about spreading the love
And we got enough to go around
Give me a T, give me an R
Give me an O, double-L, S now
What's that's spell?
All Trolls:
Trolls!
Poppy:
Sing it with me now
We stand
Hand in hand
And we're better off now
Than ever before
Because we're sharing that joy
And spreading the love around
Strong and proud
And no matter
What kind of creature you are
We'll be sharing that joy
And spreading the love around
All Trolls:
Yeah!
Poppy:
Oh-oh
Yeah, we'll be spreading
That love around

"Watch Your Back"[]
Branch's song is extremely catchy, and was the most favorite of the suggested songs by Troll Village overall. However, Poppy doesn't like how the song implies mistrust in the Trolls.
Lyrics
Branch:
High alert, in the dirt
I'm laying low
To see who is on the move
My first theory is conspiracy
If you move first
They can never get you, no
If your eyes are open wide
And looking out from the inside
It won't be long
Until you get the truth
Keep on listening for lies
And double-checking alibis
You never know who's coming for you
So watch your back
Beware the sneak attack...
Because they're watching...
Believe they're plotting for you
And they'll never stop
Watch your back

Biggie:
From the mist of Misty Meadows
To the shores of the lagoon
Every Troll will stand united

We're love and harmony
Smidge:
Yeah! Oh! My! Guh!
Oh! My! Guh!

We stand
Hand in hand
And no matter

We got endless hugs
For creatures, all types
Love's how we roll
Friendship for life

I got your back so you can all relax
I'll keep the lookout for you
And I'll never stop

We got love,
We got love, we got love
Poppy:
And we'll be spreading
That love around
