"Nowhere to Fun, Nowhere to Hide" is the first segment of the 6th episode of the third season of Trolls: TrollsTopia, and the 48th overall episode in the series. It premiered in June 10, 2021.
Synopsis[]
When Poppy is the last Troll left in a epic game of hide-and-seek, Branch will stop at nothing to find her before his all-time hide and seek record!
Plot[]
In Country Corral, Poppy and Holly are hiding in a basement. Poppy is writing to her pen pals. In her letter, she explains they are in an epic game of hide and seek. However, unlike normal hide and seek, when the other Trolls are found and tagged they become "its", and now she and Holly are the only hiders left. They have made it within a day of breaking the hiding record. She also writes that she hopes she can see them soon when the game is over, and gives the letter to the Snail Mail, which heads out to deliver the letter.
When Holly asks if she just sent it, Poppy confirms it, saying she can't go 25 days without writing to her pen pals. Holly then points out the snail leads tracks, which will lead Branch to them, and at that moment Branch bangs on the trapdoor. Holly tells Poppy to run while she buys her some time, and that she must be the one to break the record. Poppy leaves just as Branch breaks in. He asks Holly where Poppy is, but she refuses to tell him, until he tags her, meaning that Holly is now on his team. Holly tells him Poppy went out the back.
Poppy runs away from the Trolls when she is spotted, but ends up being blocked by the spacecraft, Branch tells her there's nowhere to go, but Poppy tells him that this is where she wants to be and catches the Metroll train as it passes by, evading from getting tagged. Despite being upset Poppy escaped, and Branch exclaims that this is a good game, to which everyone agrees.
At Classical Crest, Poppy seeks refuge from Minuet because she opted out of the game and is one of the few Trolls that Poppy can trust. At the bunker, Branch orders the Trolls to recheck everywhere, and says that if they can't find Poppy, they'll have to lure Poppy out with something her big heart can't resist; he then sees Tiny Diamond, who asks if anyone has scrapbook supplies.
Invitations are dropped and Minuet ends up having one land in some cupcakes and shows it to Poppy. The invitations are for Tiny's Glistening, a holiday event where Branch has made up as a trap. Despite knowing it is not real, Poppy decides to attend the event, stating that she never missed a Glistening. Minuet reminds her it is a trap, but Poppy explains that it feels real to her, and she can't resist being there because she cares so much.
Some time later, Poppy arrives at the Glistening and Branch states he knew she was too caring to stay away from the Glistening, ordering the Trolls to be ready to tag Poppy. She tells Branch he's right and that though she knows she is putting herself at risk, she will both attend and break the hiding record, showing him that she has 5 minutes left. Branch asks how she will do that, Poppy replies by getting them all to care about Tiny the way she does.
Minuet then projects some photos of Tiny Diamond and Poppy sings. Branch orders the Trolls to tag Poppy but they try to end up getting emotional when they see Tiny's picture. Branch attempts to tag Poppy but stops seeing an image of Tiny with himself. As the song ended and Poppy thanks Tiny Diamond, she tosses glitter on Tiny and approaches Branch just as she breaks the record. She brags to Branch that she did it and that he played great, but Branch tells her congratulations and that right now hide and seek doesn't seem important right now, and the episode ends.

Trivia[]
- The title is a pun between "fun" and the Martha and the Vandellas song Nowhere to Run, which had the lyric line "Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide".
- "Snail Mail" is a nickname for the postal service because of how long it takes to deliver a message compared to modern alternatives.
- Poppy is writing to her "pen pals", but it never states who she writes to.
- The term "Glistening" is a nod to "christening".
- In "Blank Day", it's established that the ruling monarch of the Pop Trolls was the only one who could choose a new holiday event, but in this episode, Branch creates a new event without seeking her permission. This could be down to the fact TrollsTopia has allowed for new Holidays to take place that have nothing to do with the Pop Trolls. Either way, it was acknowledged as a fake celebration, but Poppy approved of the event.
