Most Bergens seen in the franchise are generated using a random design generator, just like most Trolls.

Variations[]
Trolls & Trolls Holiday[]
Random Bergens are highly detailed in comparison to random Trolls. This is likely due to their larger size requiring more attention, as they will appear in close-ups and long distant sorts. Size would also matter due to the Trolls being much smaller at 6 inches tall. Their attire is often blander or more generic-looking than named Bergens, such as Bridget, Chef and King Gristle Jr..
Possible design variations for random Bergens include:
- Several different hairstyles. Some are gendered to appear on either male or female Bergens; a few appear on both.
- Random nose designs.
- Females have makeup like blush, lipstick and eyeliner.
- Clothing, including different shirts, pants and jackets.
- Warts.
- Teeth, which are randomized and taken from a set amount of variation.
- Body sizes and height.
- Head shape.
- Ear shape.
- Eye sclera and pupils. The possible colors are white, red, blue and green.
Due to the high number of Bergen asset variations, there are far more combinations of random Bergen assets than random Trolls have. The Bergens therefore appear more distinct than the Trolls overall. A crowd of Bergens feels a lot more like there are distinct models than with the Trolls.
The randomized Bergen models aren't the same as models which are simply recolors, such as those of Chad and Todd. There are very few Bergens that end up identical during the random process, even when compared to Trolls World Tour's randomized assets for Trolls. Although, random Bergens may be reused over and over with new colors each time.
Trolls: The Beat Goes On![]
In Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, random Bergens have a larger range of assets and color shades than in Trolls and Trolls Holiday. Asset duplication is far less common with them than in random Trolls, with each random Bergen in a scene usually having completely different assets from the rest. Although there also females, most random Bergens in the series are male.
The following is a list of variations that can happen to random Bergens:
- Body, head, ear and nose sizes and shape.
- Hairstyle, though a balding one is commonly duplicated.
- Skin color, with a diverse amount of green, purple and blue shades.
- Hair color, often black or grey.
- Outfits. Common colors include red, blue, yellow, grey, khaki and white.
- May have facial hair and warts, though these aren't common assets.
Unlike in the 3D animation, all random Bergens have the same white sclera color. Their pupils usually have same color as their skin in a darker tone. Also, not all of them generate with fingernails.
Trolls Band Together[]
They are extremely similar to Trolls though have changes still. Generally, models appear more vibrant, clothes have brighter colours and patterned clothing is present even when greys and greens are used.
Though this is likely due to improvements to the engine for DreamWorks movies that occurred after the first Trolls movie, some of the changes could also be put down to the events of Trolls culturally.
