Rufus is a recurring character from Trolls: The Beat Goes On! and Trolls: TrollsTopia. In the Trolls: TrollsTopia episode "The Last Scrapbook", he reveals his real identity as R.T. Plumegrass.
Rufus originally was in the Trolls Magazine with a very different design and was one of the early post Trolls characters, and one of the few that made it into any canon storyline.
Appearance[]

He has the same appearance as in Trolls: The Beat Goes On!.
According to Queen Poppy, he's from King Peppy's generation, and thus is among the older Pop Trolls.

When revealing his real identity, he has a drastic outfit change, now wearing a purple classy suit with grey patches, a white shirt, a yellow bowtie and black round-framed glasses. A grey streak is also visible on the left side of his hair.
Personality[]
Rufus is based on a stereotypical hillbilly. He is often happy and seems to have a fairly laid-back approach. In "The Bunker List", it was shown he can't resist showing a younger Troll without a father figure how to do things.
In "The Last Scrapbook", he reveals that this is just an act, and he's actually a highly educated and intelligent Troll. Despite this, he prefers the characterization of "Rufus", and when given the choice, he chose to remain as the character he invented over his actual self, due to his attachment to the alias.
Skills & Abilities[]
He has most normal Troll abilities as well as the abilities of his Tribe.
He is getting on with age though.
Farming[]
Rufus is a typical farmer whose specialty is critter husbandry. When he is seen doing his job he usually looks after Puffalo, but he was also responsible for delivering CJ Suki's new Wooferbug to DJ Suki in "CJ's Wooferbug", implying he looks after a variety of different animals.
Fishing[]
Rufus is also an expert fisherman. One of the Bunker List items that Branch had in "The Bunker List" was to catch a Glitter Fish with a local fisherman, which he did with Rufus.
Writing[]
He wrote a number of Scrapbooks before assuming the guise of "Rufus". Due to the headings getting difficult for him, left the books behind at the Troll Village library.
His writing style also indicated that he was left-handed.
Etymology[]
His name of R. T. Plumegrass might be a reference to the writers J. K. Rowling (whose name has been commonly referenced in media) or H. P. Lovecraft.
