Sky Toronto is a recurring character in Trolls: The Beat Goes On! and Trolls: TrollsTopia. He is the owner of the Party Shop seen in the series (also known as "Fun Factory" and "Funtime Factory" from Season 6 of Trolls: The Beat Goes On! onwards).
Appearance[]
- Normal
Sky is a golden-skinned Glitter Troll with dull blue-grey hair, blue eyes and a purple nose. He wears a black necktie.
In "The Giver", he describes himself as having "the body of a warrior, earlobes of a poet, butt that shimmers like the night sky", when Poppy tries to get him to describe The Giver to Harper so she can draw the mystery Troll. Despite not knowing that he was talking about himself, Harper still managed to draw Sky based on the description.
Sky is one of the older members of Troll Village, as evidenced by him being a band member of H.U.G.G. in "Hug Fest".Personality[]
Sky rarely smiles, not because he can't and not because he doesn't have fun; it is just for him and running the Party Shop being both serious. He runs the factory like clockwork, and is used to explaining things via pie charts and graphs, making decisions on the fly. Sky understands that parties and his job is to keep Troll Village supplied with their things for parties. He has issues conveying sarcasm and other emotions due to his deadpan vocal tones, often keeping his serious businessman approach in all situations. He often levels with people on their ideas and the demands to his employees or customers, keeping objectives straight and on point. He is difficult to fool, though can be, but he is well and truly aware of what other Trolls are up to. Those times he does fail, however, he notes that he finds it awkward and embarrassing to deal with when he fails to spot something.
He is attached to his tie, treating it like it is a living thing and was heartbroken in "Neighbor War" when Branch cut it in half, even holding a funeral for his lost tie. The loss of his tie was enough to even consider Branch the winner of the dispute of the episode.
Trolls pitching ideas only get one shot at selling their idea to him. This can put pressure for success as Guy Diamond realized in "Weekend At Diamond's". He can often come across as hard to please but when impressed instantly puts ideas to production.
Relationships[]
Sky's relationship with other Trolls is on a business level. Even to talk Sky into singing, Poppy had to present her reasons for this via a business-like manner, as seen in "Hitting The Sky Note".
Queen Poppy[]
Sky has a working business relationship with Poppy. She often approaches him with problems he needs to help her resolve. She can often use her position as Queen to influence the habits of Troll Village and resolve any issues caused by his business. Sky is blunt and straight with her as she doesn't have the same sense of business he has, often being much more sentimental and empathetic then Sky is himself.
Branch[]
Sky and Branch clashed in "Neighbor War" when Sky built his retreat home right next to Branch's bunker. Sky was a unruly neighbor and when Poppy refused to do anything (citing the forest didn't belong to Branch), Branch took matters into his own hands and a row broke out between them. Eventually, Branch won when he cut Sky's tie in half, with Sky going to live like a hermit in the wilderness, leaving no one to run the Fun Factory. After Branch then failed to run it himself, he found Sky and the two came to a mutual agreement with each other to be more respectful of each other.
Guy Diamond[]
In "Friend Matching", Poppy ran a questionnaire which attempted to match Trolls in Troll Village to each other in a big to make a instant friendship happen. Guy and Sky were matched up perfectly to each other, and Poppy made a number of attempts to bring them together. However, nothing worked and she began to question her friend matching skills. The two were opposites in everything, even when they enjoyed the same sport, they supported different teams and angrily had issues with each other over their support of the opposite team. Eventually, they got into a heated fight and started to try and out-sing each other, with Sky using a special microphone that mimicked Guy's singing abilities, causing Poppy to reveal everything (she hid that she had matched them because it causes awkwardness). It is revealed that Sky never failed out his form, he got someone else to fill it out. The two part ways declaring a friendship between them was impossible; then admitting they sounded good together singing and thus became friends anyway.
Employees[]
The funployees, as Sky refers to them as, like to try and impress him. He likes to make sure their a perfect fit for the factory and despite his high demands, likes some honesty. Sky accepts his creators in Research and Development can have flawed inventions; as a team he likes to work out how to fix any flaws with products, which is where his demand for honesty comes into play; he has to know a product is flawed and what those flaws to begin with to fix them.
Other[]
H.U.G.G.[]
Sky is often seen groups with King Peppy, Dr. Moonbloom and Mags Gumdrop and the 4 are friends. Not only are they all part of H.U.G.G. but members of the Extreme Sleepover Club.
Skills & Abilities[]
He has most normal Troll abilities, as well as the typical abilities of a Glitter Troll. However, Sky is almost never seen using them, either because he has no time or because he has others to do things for him. The only time he farts glitter is in the episode "Friend Matching", when he and Guy Diamond get into an argument and the pair resort to farting glitter at each other in anger.
He is getting on with age though.
Entrepreneurship[]
Sky runs the village's Party Shop, and knows much of what can go wrong and will go wrong, being the only one who seems to be able to run the place. He makes on-the-spot decisions and never goes back on them. In "Weekend At Diamond's" Sky was shown to give Trolls only 1 chance to sell him their ideas, there is no second chance. His factory supplies every Troll their needed party supplies no matter what the demand and also supplies a number of confectory treats such as sweets and ice cream. Part of his job involves risk assessment in "Giggleyum" he had to retire Smidge's favorite flavor Sparkle Melon due to the low demand and high cost to his employees.
Sky accepts that pitched ideas come with flaws that next fixing and likes to work together with his Research and Development team to fix those flaws. The Funtime Factory works as a team, thus any idea he likes is fine so long as his team can work with it.
Music[]

Sky Toronto singing in auto-tune effect using a customized microphone
Sky didn't sing until "Hitting The Sky Note". He didn't have time in the day for singing and thus just never sung. When he's finally convinced by Poppy to sing, it turns out that he has a terrible vocalization. He realizes he enjoys it, even though others can't stand his voice. However in "Friend Matching", Sky managed to learn Guy Diamond's auto-tuning vocal by capturing it for himself via a customized microphone.
He is seen playing a saxophone in "Hug Fest", during the H.U.G.G. concert reunion.
Sleepovers[]
As seen in the episode "Extreme Sleepover Club", Sky is a member of the Extreme Sleepover Club; in fact, he is the group's founder. He enjoys sleepover parties, and often has them at the Party Shop.

Etymology[]
"Toronto" is French for "plenty".
"Sky Toronto" is likely a nod to the phrase "The sky's aplenty", which is another way of saying that a person has no boundaries to their goals and potential, though other similar phrases like "Reach for the sky" and "The sky's the limit" are far more commonly used.
"Toronto" is also a city in Ontario, Canada with very tall buildings (skyscrapers).
Trivia[]
- Sky's inability to sing is a nod to the Trolls movie; Poppy tries to get Branch to sing when his refusal upsets Bridget, to which Branch explains why, and Poppy says she just presumed he couldn't sing. Branch tells her "No, I sung like an angel".
- However, in contrast to Branch's vocal mellifluousness, Sky's voice really is terrible.
- While Sky's age is unknown, he is from King Peppy's generation, making him an elder. King Peppy is estimated to be at least 60+.
- Another note of his age in referenced in Trolly Tales 3 wherein Guy Diamond created a story which featured Sky as his father, meaning he was portrayed as old enough to be Guy's father in that story. As a note of contrast, Guy himself is portrayed at times as about Branch's age in some instances, but a number of middle-aged jokes about him were made by Tiny Diamond in It's Dad-urday.
