Character Concept History[]
Originally, his family weren't all green.[1]
In early promos, Tadd had blue skin and freckles, as well as pink eyes. He's also unnamed because his name was given to him quite late in development of the movie. His name when it was finally given was given as "Coral Blush" and was later revealled by The Art of DreamWorks Trolls World Tour as "Tadd".
3D Story[]
Tadd was born sometime before the start of Trolls World Tour and is one of the newest additions to the Techno Troll Tribe. He is born to two loving parents who decided to raise him to enjoy the EDM beat like all Techno Trolls do.
Coral with his parents as Trollex makes his people wait for the drop of his new song
Tadd joins his parents and Bliss Marina during one of King Trollex's Rave parties as he gets ready to drop a new song. As his family gets excited, suddenly Trollex appears underneath him and then disappears to hit the Drop Beat Button and thus the music starts. The concert is interrupted by Queen Barb and his parents attempt to shield their son from her as their King bravely confronts the Queen of the Rock trolls alone. After a brief conversation, Barb begins to wreck Techno Reef. In order to protect the life they have spent so many years building, Trollex hands over their Tribe's string.
The Techno Trolls were then gathered up and taken to Volcano Rock City. Soon, they're joined by the other Tribes and taken to an arena for a Rock concert. Barb returns victorious from her Rock World Tour having gathered all 6 strings. Starting with a Pop Troll named Branch, who had thrown himself in the way to protect his Queen, Queen Poppy, Barb starts to convert everyone into Rock Zombies by converting all leaders including Trollex. When she fails to convert Poppy, Poppy smashed the guitar housing all the Strings, stopping Barb's plan and saving the other Trolls including Tadd, but destroying all music.
The Trolls soon realized they don't need the Strings and the music now comes from within. They're all restored back to normal. Tadd is seen at the end of the movie gathered with children of all Tribes including Tiny Diamond and Clampers Buttonwillow, as Poppy teaches them that you can't harmonize alone.
