The Multiverse is the concept of an infinite number of variations of the known universe, each with differences of varying degrees, including versions of the Trolls own World.

About
[]

Trolls: The Beat Goes On![]

Initially, it was shown in "Wormhole" when Poppy, Branch, Cooper, and DJ Suki jumped through a wormhole and arrived at a location where Bergens were Trolls. At the time, Branch explains that each wormhole is like a slippy-slide and that there are infinite possible exits. Several alternative universes were shown in the episode, including one where it was occupied by many Cloud Guy's, many Branch's, was pixelated, the Trolls appeared as puppets, the Trolls appeared as basic shapes, the Trolls found Troll Dolls, among many others. Trolls also occupied these universes, such as one instance where they met a Poppy and Branch who has their traits switched around. There was also a universe where hugging didn't exist and one in which everything was a Scrapbook made by Keith.

Examples of the universes shown in the series:

Some of these universes have since returned in future installments of the 2D animated series.

Trolls: TrollsTopia[]

The idea returned in "Across the Fashionverse" when Satin & Chenille wanted to locate an impossible piece of cloth. With the help from Rhythm & Blues, the twins managed to locate the cloth.

In "Wormhole Scavenger Hunt", Poppy, Guy Diamond and Holly Darlin' took part in one of Lownote Jones' scavenger hunts across the Multiverse. In one such universe, they met Pushy Poppy, Dingy Diamond and Hollizabeth Darlintonshire.

The actual location was finally named in "To Hug A Snug-A-Lug".

While random Wormholes are able to cross time and space and appear randomly in places like Troll Forest from time to time, the Funk Trolls are the only tribe capable of traveling across the Multiverse in the main Trolls universe. However, this may not be the case for all universes. In "Stop the Presses", it was suggested that wormholes are a result of "magic".

Trolls Band Together[]

In Trolls Band Together, the "hustle dimension" was shown when John Dory told Tiny Diamond to press the "Hustle Button" in Rhonda Armadillo Bus.

Trivia
[]

  • It is based on a hypothesis of the same name.
