It was similar to Ask Poppy in that it was made to support the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! series. The main differences is that whereas Ask Poppy took place early in the storyline of the show, Trolls: Pump up the Party! took place later in the show, and instead of new stories, it involved spotlighting fun activities and things about the show.
