This policy page lists all the rules related to blocking on this wiki. Blocking is the means by which an administrator prevents a user account or IP address/range from editing. Block duration varies depending on the severity and longevity of vandalism, but can be lifted if the users agrees to stop behaving in that way.
Blocked users are automatically listed in the block log.
Block Guidelines
Administrators and bureaucrats are within their rights to block users based on past rule violations (and their severity) done by the suspected user.
In the event of a misinterpretation, we can allow for the user who received the block to testify their block to the blocking admin in Community Central, who will may then discuss it with the other admins to see if it was a misunderstanding. Do not contact a staff member in other wikis except for Community Central or via their social media (with the exception of Discord).
Attempting to evade your block by creating alternate accounts, or sock-puppetry, will result in its extension and a permanent ban on your alternate accounts.
- Changing your username to evade a block will also be treated as creating a new account.
- Creating two or more alternate accounts per block will lead to your main account being blocked without warning.
To testify your block, proof must be shown that the user was violating the rules or that it was a misinterpretation. Preferably, a link or other form of evidence should be provided. Failure to be civilized or cooperative to the admin will make your appeal null and void, and in cases of spreading false information, may even get your account blocked/ban extended.
- Blatantly attacking the staff or the wiki will result in your block being non-negotiable.
- Severe and incessant harassment may additionally lead to a ban across the Fandom network.
Admins and bureaucrats have the right to deny your unblock request if they wish. If you are told that you won't be unbanned, wait for the block to pass or move on from the wiki.
Do not appeal for other users, as they have to make an appeal themselves.
Grounds For Blocking
- Spam - Posting unneeded spam links in articles, or creating articles which are entirely spam is grounds for an infinite block depending on how much that particular user does it.
- Vandalism - Vandalism is any bad-faith edit made to the disrupt the functioning of the community. In most cases the user should be warned prior to blocking. Final discretion is left to the administrators.
- Disruption - Users who are intentionally disrupting the wiki by changing users comments, making misleading edits or harassing people will be blocked.
- Blanking pages - Blanking pages also counts as vandalism. Users should be warned, except in extreme cases where the user is purposely blanking the pages.
- Copyright violations - Users who keep posting copyrighted material despite being warned should be blocked.
- Personal attacks - If a user makes personal attacks on other users then should be giving a warning, and a short ban. If they continue to attack this person then their block should increase.
- Inappropriate account naming - Creating an inappropriate account name, be it in terms of user impersonation insult, general rudeness and obscenity, is also grounds for a no-warning infinite block. Once blocked, leave a message on their message wall stating the reason for the block. The editor can appeal to Wikia to have their username changed, or they can chose to create a new account under a different email address. When blocking, allow the editor to continue editing their talk page, so they can request to be unblocked when their name is changed, or so they can appeal the block.
- Posting personal information - Users who post their own or other peoples personal (e.g: their address, phone-number etc). They should be warned and if they continue then blocked.
- Cyberbullying - Harassing or bullying other users will result in being blocked.
- Sockpuppetry - Use of multiple accounts to have multiple vanity userpages, influence votes, or evade blocks will all result in blocks being handed out.
