The currently unnamed world where the Trolls and other species live in is established by the DreamWorks Trolls franchise.
Overview[]
The Trolls live in a world made of various fabrics, where rocks can have fuzz, water looks like tinsel and foil, and lava has a silk-like texture. It has many Flora and Fauna in it, as well as other sentient species besides the Trolls themselves, such as Bergens. The sun and moon are also sentient and according to Trolls: Holiday in Harmony, the sky is a ceiling which can be broken through to reach space.
In the 2D media, the continents of the world are shown to be similar to the real-life Earth, but shaped like Trolls. For example, two continents resembling North and South America are shown as two land masses shaped like Trolls joined at the hair.
In addition to the textile appearance and nature, music and magic are also part of the Trolls' world. The Trolls themselves are quite small, with the world around them being much bigger than they are.
The world is also one of the many examples within the The Multiverse, and different universes have different variants of the world, varying both slightly and greatly.

Mount Rageous[]
It is the location of the Mount Rageons.
Concept[]
Examples shown in The Art of DreamWorks Trolls of concept art noted that originally the world the Trolls lived in was normal and non-textile textured.[2] The world they lived in was re-designed as ideas were added, with the intention of their world resembling a giant Scrapbook, with bits of fabric, wool, fuzz, and other scraps making up the entire world around them.
There were many aspects of the Trolls' world left open for expansion, even during Trolls. For example, as of Trolls Holiday, the world's Sun and Moon now have faces, after the Moon was first seen faceless in Trolls. Trolls had provided an introduction to the overall world, and Trolls World Tour greatly expanded upon it, adding many new concepts and textures. For example, Trolls was not allowed to go near water, while Trolls World Tour could finally explore that element.[3]
Other ideas included making Lonesome Flats made of layered sheets.[4]
The fuzz seen in the world was generated afterwards using an effect in MoonRay Render, and was one of the most challenging techincal aspects of the franchise's animation rendering.[5]
